Dr Yeh is a colorectal / general surgeon that specialises in minimally invasive surgery. He received his medical degree from University of Newcastle in 2001 and became a  fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2011. He completed his surgical training at Royal North Shore Hospital and St Vincent’s Hospital.

He underwent two years of post fellowship training in advance laparoscopic colorectal surgery at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane and Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney. He became interested in robotic surgery in 2014 and undertook additional fellowships in robotic colorectal surgery at two world famous centres. He spent over 12 months at Korea University Anam Hospital in Seoul, South Korea and at St James University Hospital in Leeds, UK.

He co-wrote a book chapter in the book titled “Robotic Approaches to Colorectal Surgery” with the world famous Prof Seon-Hahn Kim, who is a world renowned robotic colorectal surgeon. During his time at St James University Hospital, he worked with Prof David Jayne, who is the lead investigator for the first multi-national trial involving robotic rectal surgery, the ROLARR Trial.

Dr Yeh’s main interests are treating colorectal disease via minimally invasive surgery. This includes laparoscopic as well as robotic surgery. He treats all aspect of colorectal disease, including colorectal cancer, polyps, diverticular disease, inflammatory bowel disease, rectal prolapse and perianal conditions.

Dr Yeh’s interest in minimally invasive surgery also extends to other general surgical procedure such as laparoscopic hernia repair, laparoscopic cholecystectomy and pilonidal sinus surgery.

Dr Yeh is accredited to perform endoscopy including diagnostic gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Yeh is committed to surgical education and is involved in teaching with the Royal Australasia College of Surgeons.  He is an instructor in the ASSET course teaching surgical skills to the next generation of surgeons as well as an examiner for surgical trainees. He also have experience in formal teaching for medical students as well as examiner for University of Notre Dame.

Other than English, Dr Yeh is also fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese
